Haren and Gunther are two old, battle-scarred veterans from the small village of Dragon’s Quarters. The ale-swilling warriors and twenty of their cronies decide to assist Harrison and his friends as they set out to defeat Dracus, the evil red dragon. Haren describes tales of the wicked beast, how it exudes evil, and wishes nothing more than to destroy all who are foolish enough to confront him. Harrison reluctantly allows the battered men to lead their group through the Ridge of Dracus and to the dragon’s lair where a magnificent battle takes place.
