Jason grew up around the Aries peninsula, where he wowed the locals with his feats of strength. Jason was always a big person and would win all the ribbons in the strength competitions at the local town fairs. Jason came from a large, close family of three sisters and two brothers, he being the third child, behind an older brother and sister.
Jason’s father was a trapper and hunter, but someone who also had a flair for adventure. Though his father never joined any formal adventuring parties, he would always take his sons on two-week expeditions every season. Jason learned how to hunt, trap, fight, and defend himself through the thorough teachings of his father. Many times Jason and his brothers would fend off creatures of the wilderness during their excursions, and have plenty of tales to tell his mother and sisters upon their return.
The best warrior in his family by far, Jason’s father urged him to join a real academy. The Aegean Academy was undoubtedly the best in the region, but it was many miles from his home. When Jason was fifteen, his father contracted an illness and died suddenly. His dying wish was for his son to become the warrior he knew he could be.
Jason wanted to heed his father’s final plea, but felt compelled to stay with his family. At the behest of his siblings, he finally submitted his application to the Academy. From there, he quickly became known as the strongest man to ever attend the school. It is here where he met Marcus Braxton and became one of Marcus’ loyal warriors.
