Nigel Hammer is the ruthless governor of the town of Concur. Always referred to as a Dark Knight, Nigel spent many years fighting with resistance armies along the shores of the Serpent’s Sea. Though he was an excellent warrior, he was an even better leader.
With the help of several thousand loyal soldiers, he managed to mount a successful attack on the city of Concur. Nigel knew that Concur was a rich port and that he could govern with an iron fist. His army proved to be too strong for the smaller defense battalions and, after a few weeks of fighting, he proclaimed himself the new Governor of Concur, adopting the title “Lord” and affixing it to his name.
His first order as ruler was to build a fortress-styled wall around the city, then came massive gates that closed the entrances to the metropolis, as well as the port to boats. Following that, he installed new tariffs for foreigners and collected higher taxes from the townspeople of Concur.
His last despising act was to steal the beautiful Meredith Bilodeau away from the previous ruling family and make her his own. Though they never married, Meredith became the First Lady of Concur by default. The townsfolk adore Meredith and want nothing more than to fight for her honor.
Nigel obsession with power drove him to find the Treasure of the Land. Assembling his army, he set out into the countryside to discover the sacred treasure, knowing that if he possessed it, he would be able to control the land like no one in history had ever done before.
