SCROLL OF THE OVERLORDS

Unraveling the Dark Secrets of the Overlords Mythology

Issue #24 November 11, 2005

The Overlords

For those of you reading this for the first time, The Overlords is a trilogy written by Mike Squatrito.  The story is set in the fantasy genre, and has been an ongoing project of mine for the past eleven years.  I either found your email address, or got it from you, or from a friend of yours!  Please continue to read this newsletter, and visit my website!

What’s New

Last month I took time out of my fruitless job searching to participate in the 28+ Wooden Bat World Series in Phoenix, Arizona.  There were 11 teams in two divisions and we played at several fantastic ballparks around the Phoenix area, including the Royals and Cubs spring training facilities.  I was lucky enough to draw the start in the first game, which we won 5-4 against the Las Vegas Bears.  I pitched a complete game and dazzled the opposition with an assortment of knuckleballs and curves.  Unfortunately, we lost the next three games, two by one run, and were eliminated from the tournament before we could compete for the title.  It was so much fun I’m hoping to go again next year – if I find a job first!

Check out a recent picture of Lea and I on my website at the bottom of the main page.  The picture was taken at a wedding of one of Lea’s co-workers.

 About The Project

The first pass of the Talisman of Unification is almost complete.  I’m up to Chapter 31 and the final battle scene seems to be going on and on!  I have to finish this scene, then create a climatic ending to the story, with a hook that will have you dying to read Book Three!  My goal is to finish Book Two by the end of the year (I’m anticipating some stop time because of the holidays) and pick up editing the story after the New Year.  If I don’t see you beforehand, have a Happy Thanksgiving!
