The Overlords

For those of you reading this for the first time, The Overlords is a trilogy written by Mike Squatrito.  The story is set in the fantasy genre, and has been an ongoing project of mine for the past eleven years.  I either found your email address, or got it from you, or from a friend of yours!  Please continue to read this newsletter, and visit my website!

What’s New

I hope you like the new format of the newsletter.  I had some spare time while the oil men fixed my burner so I decided to jazz it up a bit with some pictures.  Feedback is always appreciated ….

If you haven’t heard already, I’ve decided to go the self-publishing route with iUniverse.  I’ll begin this new adventure around March 1st and from what the people at iUniverse have told me, the process should be finished in three to four months.  That means you might be able to start purchasing Legend of the Treasure around the 4th of July timeframe.  There will be a little out of pocket expenses, but all I really want to do is get my book out there for people to read and hopefully break even in costs.  I’ll be seeking marketing help, so if you know of anyone please send them my way.

Also, I’ve been in contact with Dale Noelte who has expressed interest in creating the cover artwork and detailed map for the inside cover.  After we schedule our meeting (with kids and work it has been difficult to say the least) Dale will put her brilliance to work and you all will see just how talented she really is.

About The Project

I’ve slacked a bit on the Talisman of Unification, but I needed to start my new job and get into a new routine.  With that set, I should be able to move forward at a much faster pace.  Right now, I’m up to Chapter 10 on my second pass and look to be on schedule.  I’m sure once the self-publishing kicks in, the sequel will have to take the back burner.  I can’t worry about a sequel when the first story isn’t out on the street yet, right?  Until next month ….
