The Overlords

For those of you reading this for the first time, The Overlords is a trilogy written by Mike Squatrito.  The story is set in the fantasy genre and has been an ongoing project of mine for the past fifteen years.  I either found your email address, got it from you, or from a friend of yours!  Please continue to read this newsletter and visit my website!

What’s New

101 degrees!  That’s how hot it was today in RI.  It’s also a meaningful number in another way.  Unofficial sales of Legend of the Treasure have gone over the 101 book mark!  I have personally sold 95, and internet sales are around 20 more.  That’s unbelievable for just over two months of having the book available for sale.  Thanks again to everyone who has bought a book, and thanks in advance to all you future buyers!

Last week, the Bristol Phoenix, the local newspaper for my hometown, ran an article on me and my project.  Check it out at the following link before they update their site:

I’ll be signing copies of my book this Saturday, August 5th from 1:00 to 3:00 at A Novel Idea, 450 Hope Street, in Bristol, RI.  I hope to see some friendly faces again, and if you know of anyone who wants to buy the book, please forward this information along.

I received a wonderful review from a person from Boulder, CO, which you can read via the Amazon.com link from my website.  Just follow the directions to purchase a book, click on the Amazon.com link, then click on Customer Reviews.  I guess the word is really spreading!!!

This will probably be the last public event for the summer, as I’ll be gathering information and contacts for the local schools in hope of speaking at several locations this coming school year.

About The Project

I’m up to Chapter 30 of the Talisman of Unification!  So far, I’ve been able to pick up where the first story left off, adding new characters, monsters, and challenges for Harrison and his friends.  Hopefully, I’ll be done with the second pass of all 34 chapters by the next newsletter.  Then it’s on to pass number three, the final one before it goes to the editor for massive doses of red lining!!!
