The Overlords
For those of you reading this for the first time, The Overlords is a trilogy written by Mike Squatrito. The story is set in the fantasy genre and has been an ongoing project of mine for the past fifteen years. I either found your email address, got it from you, or from a friend of yours! Please continue to read this newsletter and visit my website!
What’s New
The Overlords was well represented at the Taste of Rhode Island last month. The two-day event yielded 13 more sales and a wealth of new contacts. Some of my new fans from the Taste of RI are reading this for the first time – welcome to the Overlords family!
Another Overlords blurb also appeared in the magazine Quadangles, the alumni magazine for my alma mater, the University of Rhode Island. For those of you who subscribe to this periodical, you can find the feature under the Class of 1987. Though the paragraph was small, I’m hoping many friends and old acquaintances see it. Every little bit of press helps!
I’m still waiting to hear back from the local schools, though there is a lot of interest in having me speak to their classes. It’s still early in the school year, but I’m ready to visit anytime they’re ready.
Also, I’m going to be setting up some more book signings, just in time for the Christmas rush. Even if you bought a book already, you might know of someone else who would love to have a personally autographed copy – a son, daughter, niece, nephew, etc. – and you will hear from me soon about this in a separate email.
More details to come next month …. Get your reviews posted online!!!
About The Project
I’ve started pass three of the Talisman of Unification. This is the most critical part of my edits because this is the version that eventually goes to my editor. I need to tighten the storyline, fix all grammar, and make sure that the story is good enough for print. I’ve set a personal deadline of January ’07 to be finished with this pass – wish me luck!
