The Overlords

Hi Everyone.  This is the 40th installment of the Overlords Newsletter!  I have to admit, things have definitely changed since my first edition.  Read on to see what’s been going on with Overlord Enterprises.

What’s New

 

I have finally finished the Talisman of Unification!  I’m in the process of reading over my work before sending it to Laura Vadney in Memphis, Tennessee for editing.  I have to tell you, my time to write has slowed considerably due to work, little league, and springtime yard activities.  But, I’m hoping to finish off everything and get it out by this Saturday (5/19) or the week after at the latest.  In the end, it has to be the way I want it or it doesn’t go out the door at all.

 

The 6th graders at St. Philomena’s in Portsmouth, RI have finished their books and artwork, and have sent their books to the publisher!  I’m so happy for them since they put in so much effort this past winter and spring.  I’ll be coming to their school at the end of the month to talk to them about the marketing angle of selling books.

 

Last month’s book signing event at The Paradies Shops at T. F. Green Airport in Warwick, RI proved to be well worth the endeavor.  I met a schoolteacher, Mary Sarwark, from Phoenix, AZ who bought a book for her school library.  After talking to her at length about my works with schools in RI, she asked if I’d be interested in doing the same for her high school in Phoenix.  Of course I told her I’d be more than happy to work with her and her students.  We’re in the middle of planning a trip to Phoenix in August, as well as in October when I travel there with my baseball team.  Check my blog for more details (theoverlords.blogspot .com).
