What’s New

 

Today I’d like to give my loyal Overlords fan base the first glimpse of the cover design for The Talisman of Unification.  Colby Cook painted this picture from scratch and digitally photographed his creation, which you see here today.  iUniverse will crop the title and series name on the actual book cover.  I want to take the time here to thank Colby for a job well done.  What a cool image, huh?!?!

 

Speaking of The Talisman of Unification, I’ve received the final pages of redlines from my editor, Laura Vadney, and I’m busily incorporating her suggestions.  But, as is the trials and tribulations of a struggling author, you can blame the U.S. Postal Service for pushing my project behind.  It took them two weeks to re-route my package of changes that I had sent to Laura back to me because the shipping address label fell off!  Good thing I had my return address on the envelope.  See, it really is important to have.  You can always check my blog for more updates (theoverlords.blogspot .com).

 

On the 2nd of this month, I met with a writer’s group in Swansea, MA, headed by Miriam Santiago.  We had a great night talking about writing and marketing techniques, and I feel I’ve inspired four lovely ladies to keep pushing through their writer’s block and self-doubts.  If there’s anyone else out there that feels they can benefit from an inspirational visit, feel free to contact me and we can try and work something out.

My trip to Westwood High School in Phoenix, Arizona is fast approaching (8/23-8/26).  I’ll have lots to tell you about in next month’s newsletter.
