What’s New?

 

Things are moving forward at Overlord Enterprises! One of the most important happenings has been the addition of Jon Toorock to the Overlords Family. Jon, who resides in Portland, Oregon, has taken on the role of Overlords Advisor, which means that he is aggressively helping me take The Overlords from a local success to a national phenomenon. The way we want to do this is via a major Internet marketing campaign, which you all will hear about very soon. Jon’s tasks include research into Internet marketing and advertising, targeting and creating an Overlords presence in the social networking world (check it out!), blogging, forums and communities, and books sales, of course!  But Jon’s contributions go much further than that. Jon has pushed me to be a better writer, teacher, and to think even more outside the box than I did before. Thanks, JT!!!

 

The Overlords go to Phoenix

 

I recently visited Carson Junior High in Mesa, AZ where I helped about 60 students brainstorm and create the beginnings of a fantasy story. The kids had a lot of fun and learned some new ways to write interesting stories! I’m hopeful that we can work out some kind of writer’s club for those kids who truly want to explore their creative energies. Of course, if you’re local and we can meet someplace to save you the shipping charge, the books are $20 apiece or both for $35. Book Three Update

 

Aside from all of the upgrading to Overlord Enterprises, I’ve been busy working on Book Three as well. I just completed chapters 13 and 14, bringing my new novel to the 250-page mark!  Book 3 is coming along really well and you should all look forward to it in 2009!  And, I have the title for Book Three, but you’ll have to wait before I reveal it -- I’m making sure all of the marketing around the new title will work with The Overlords storyline.
